Over the recent weeks there have been two Baptisms at Rothley, both are grandchildren of Sue Wainwright.
First to be baptised was Georgia, who was a babe in arms who Rachel Baptised before Christmas.
On Sunday 6th February, Madison (Georgia’s cousin) was baptised. It proved to be a very lively event as Madison was not at all keen on Dave, and the baptism could only be accomplished with Madison safe in the arms of her mum.
Dave took the third in the series of services which are circuitwide ‘Just walk across the room’. We were challenged to try and put together 100 words as to why we come to Church. Although Dave did not expect us to do so ‘there and then’ it was something we were left to think about. It was unusual for Rothley that Dave did not get a response from the congregation, who are usually not at all shy in their responses.
Why we come to Church, what response would we give if that question were asked of any of us?
