Photographs of events from the Circuit

1.  STYG members blew the whistle on poverty and showed the red card to prejudice at the Circuit Service they led at Edgehill @ All Saints.  STYG focussed on the Street Child World Cup for all their activities at the beginning of the year.  As well as highlighting the plight of street children around the world, they raised over £300 through offerings and the Circuit pancake party and Sports Quiz that they organised.  This went to support the Nicaraguan boys and girls teams at the World Cup which took place in Rio de Janeiro in March. (Friends from Edgehill Methodists at All Saints would like to apologise for the fact that they were unable to offer their usual warm welcome at this Circuit Service. This was due to circumstances beyond their control and they hope to offer a much warmer temperature next time!)

2.  Members at Syston began their celebration of Jesus’ rising from the dead by sharing breakfast together on Easter Day.

3.  Rachel approaches the finish at the Paris Marathon

4.  Stephen pumps the organ during Syston’s Easter walk

5.  Birstall’s Easter celebration included a triple baptism where the combined age of the candidates was 180.  Baby Fraser Hobbs (pictured with his Godfather) didn’t contribute much to that total at just one year old.  The baptisms of Jean Yates and Ken Jordan were a wonderful witness to the Birstall congregation of what God can do over many years.

6.  The Good Friday witness of Churches Together in Belgrave and Rusheymead took place outside All Saints and was a truly multi-cultural affair with music and gospel readings from both British and Asian cultures.  Whilst hot cross buns were offered on the street outside, worshippers enjoyed the hospitality of a shared Indian meal.

7.  Members of Claremont Senior Friendship Group make Easter baskets at their tea and craft afternoon.

8.  Bruce Kent advises we’d be Better off without Trident

9.  Circuit members enjoy the Quiet Day at Rearsby Convent

10. “Which one is the whole egg?” Younger participants take the egg challenge at the Coffee morning run by Birstall Messy Church
