Birstall Messy Church has been awarded a grant of £250 to help establish it as a Fresh Expression of Church.  A Fresh Expression of Church is a new congregation founded for and with people who are normally well off the radar of conventional church.  Birstall Messy Church is certainly fitting that description, with many people coming along who can't, or would not think of, coming on a Sunday.  The £250 is being used to buy more craft materials and to pay for two people to get essential training in basic food hygiene.
