The sense of HEARING
Thank you Lord for my hearing.
As I sit here in the "quietness" I can hear:
  - traffic going past - everyone with a purpose to their travelling -
  - a pigeon cooing!
  - People talking - sharing; encouraging!
  - an icecream van in the distance - what a lovely day!
  - an ambulance - my prayers
  - water running - reminding me of "walks by water"
  - children playing - parents advising!
  - my heartbeat as I lean on my hand to write
  - a lorry going by - taking supplies to the supermarket?
  - the soft meditative music playing in the background.
Lord, help me to hear you voice - the promised "still, small voice"
Thank you Lord for my hearing
and the fact that you hear my unspoken prayers.
 - How great is that?

Time
Time,
If I sit and dwell on it
worry about it
what use is that?
It is your time
Lord
You have fashioned it
Found a purpose for it
It is yours.
Do I use the time for you?
Sometimes, not always.
How do I do that?
Ask for your help.
Help that is gathered like
an endless body of water.
It can flow to restore
a focus on you
Lord.
Bring balance
Give proportion.

Listen, think and pray
May I be still to listen
to all you have to say
to take the time and ponder prayer
within a busy day.

May I not always ask of you
miracles and cures
but use the skills you've given me
to make my life like yours.

To listen, think and pray
for life that's full of you.
A life that only you can help me live
Honest, committed, true
